“Educate to Advocate!”
The Central Region serves families from seventy-two communities in Central Massachusetts. We work closely with family support centers and family groups in Worcester, North Central, and South Valley to offer advocacy and educational programs for caregivers. We believe strongly in cultivating wrap-around support for caregivers to develop leadership potential and empower families for success. We partner with HMEA to provide the Family Leadership Program and give families opportunities to learn, grow and mentor other families who have children or loved ones with disabilities.
Our members lead statewide campaigns, present workshops, serve on regional and statewide organizational and educational boards, and are strong leaders within their local neighborhoods and communities.
We have a strong commitment to reaching culturally and linguistically diverse families. We look forward to deepening our relationships with community-based organizations and groups in the coming years.
We are delighted to speak with and present to any organizations and family groups in Central Massachusetts. Please reach out to Haran Phaneuf, Central Regional Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org, to learn more about our work and how you can get involved!
