H4167 - The Real Lives Bill

MFOFC, in collaboration with our partners listed below, recently kicked off a campaign to pass the Real Lives bill or H.4167 (more info below). This bill proposes system change in the way developmental services are financed and delivered. Individuals will be able to determine how to spend their allocated dollars on services and support they need. Sponsored by Representative Tom Sannicandro and others, it will allow individuals to have more choice.

We are asking you to get your representative and senator to sign onto a letter to the House Speaker and Senate President urging passage. You can send a message to your legislators by clicking HERE.

H4167 - The Real Lives Bill
An Act to encourage responsibility, cost effectiveness and meaningful lives for individuals with disabilities

The Real Lives Bill expands the ability of people to direct their own public funds. It requires no new funding. It requires that the administration implement certain new goals and strategies so as to allow public funds to be used as flexibly as possible by the individual or family even if it requires a new federal waiver or state plan amendment.
