Originally scheduled for Oct 8 & 9
The Executive Office of Health and Human Services will be conducting two public hearings. Secretary JudyAnn Bigby, M.D., and the Assistant Secretaries at EOHHS are looking forward to hearing the views of members of the community regarding the agencies under their purview.

The hearings will tentatively be divided as follows:

  • Disabilities & Community Services at MCDHH, MCB, MRC, DDS
  • Veterans, Elder Affairs, Soldiers Homes
  • Children, Youth and Families - DCF, DYS, ORI, DTA
  • Health Services - DMH, DPH, DHCFP, MassHealth

Hearings will held in Roxbury and Holyoke.

The Joint Committee on Families, Children and Disabilities will hold a public hearing in the Gardner Hall at the State House on the Administration's plan to close four state institutions.

Come Testify On behalf of Community Inclusion. Self Advocates, Families and other citizens who support the closure of the institutions in the state of Massachusetts should attend this hearing. There are legislators who have asked for more information regarding the closure of institutions and value of individuals living in the community. Oral and written testimony will be taken. If you speak, your written testimony will still be needed.
