Join the Discussion!

Radio Boston, on WBUR-FM, 90.9 will focus on human service cuts on Friday, February 20th at 1pm. Listeners can call -- 1-800-423-TALK or 1-800-423-8255.

We understand that the main focus will be on mental health and the earlier 9C cuts. But the program will also include families who receive family support services.

Nancy Meegan, Vice President, Human Resources & Staff Development, at Riverside Community Care, helped identify families who were willing to tell their stories about how the loss of family support services funding would impact their lives. Kathy and Laura Casey-Black who have four children including 12 year old twins with special needs were interviewed for the program. Laura is working with MFOFC, The Arc and others to help get families more involved in advocacy.

To call into Radio Boston on Friday, February 20, 2009, at 1:00 p.m., call:

1-800-423-TALK or 1-800-423-8255
